2026, Acrylic on board, 30x30cm
1 April 2026

I see a pearl in its mouth. An eye. A horse with long ears. I see a man holding a large skull and a claw clasping him. I see three beasts piled upon each other. The top one seems to have a head like a man. The middle one has a large mouth with a pearl in it and a large scanning eye. The bottom beast is immolated in flame and has a head like a horse, or an ass. Little Red Riding Hood hangs from one of the beast's many appendages. A black man holding a large white skull is whispering something into its ear. What the man is whispering is flowing over and blinding the beast's eye. The middle beast has a birdlike body. It seems to have killed the beast below. The top beast's face reminds me of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit. It is either stabbing the red flaming beast with a long spear, or growing out of it like a plant. The fan is blowing the board, making it wobble slightly, and giving the content of this painting a tremor, as if in an earthquake. Wallace is saying something, or consuming something, maybe water. The red beast is bleeding from the belly and the throat and is thoroughly mangled and dead, to be sure.
