Love that cannot be known may as well not exist. Love becomes known through embodiment, through us. God wants us to love so that He can become known to us. Take your love to where it can be received and valued.

The other day I came across an image of a mouse wearing one of those Jewish caps, riding on the American eagle, and I was astonished at how close that image was to this painting. So, maybe Starmer is not riding the eagle, but Israel. Apparently it is close to an image that the Nazis used. The image I saw came from the Iranian embassy in South Africa's Twitter page. My intention was to draw a flower I took a photograph of. I then started seeing the Iran war and epic fury, and then came across this image from the embassy. There must be something happening behind the scenes here. It would be quite a remarkable coincidence. So my intention is in tension with something else. Trump has a golden tongue. Or maybe a nose for gold. Or both. This flower remains embodied in the painting realm — it is clearly a painted representation. It doesn't try to lie. I like that. The painting realm is a weird place. Otherworldly. Haunting. Ghostly. It transforms things like flowers into things like prophecy. I find it beautiful. And terrifying. Like, shit-in-my-pants terrifying if it was really here in front of me. And something about it is very, very real. Israel has the eye?
